The Game Genie is a minor character from The Irate Gamer, appearing as a boss in The Subspace Emissary.

Role in The Subspace Emissary

The Game Genie makes his appearance in Real City. After the Irate Gamer turned the Angry Video Game Nerd into a trophy, the Nostalgia Critic tries and fails to shoot the Bores. Trying to buy time for his escape, Bores summons the Game Genie from the Aladdin SNES cartridge to try to distract or destroy the Critic. The Critic defeats the Game Genie and follows the bicycle tracks on his hunt for the Bores.

Moveset

• The Game Genie snaps his fingers and creates four consecutive explosions on the player.
• The Game Genie snaps his fingers and summons a snake. It travels horizontally across the screen twice and then falls on the player. The player should crouch under the high-flying snake and jump over the low-flying snake. The falling snake can be avoided by dodging.
• When his ghostly tail is absent, the Game Genie will try to whallop the player. The Aladdin SNES cartridge will be left vulnerable to attack, which is the only way to damage him.
